Toyota has officially unveiled the all-new Toyota Land Cruiser 300.
The new model is based on the TNGA global platform, which underpins several of Toyota’s latest models. The SUV retains its frame construction, but laser welding has made it more rigid. The chassis is made of high-strength steel. Most of the SUV’s body panels are made of aluminum, including the fenders, hood, trunk lid, and roof. Compared to its predecessor, the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 is 200 kg lighter.

The new Toyota Land Cruiser 300 will no longer have V8 engines. The range of power units now includes modern six-cylinder turbocharged engines. Petrol and diesel versions are available to choose from.

The 3.3-litre turbodiesel produces 299 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque. A 3.5-litre twin-turbo petrol engine is also available, producing 415 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque. Both engines are mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.

The car has a completely new interior with a large multimedia system screen. The screen diagonal can be 9 or 12.3 inches, depending on the configuration. Support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto interfaces is also declared.

Wireless smartphone charging, four-zone climate control, keyless entry and engine starting with fingerprint scanning are available as options. The biometric data of several drivers can be entered into the system.

In terms of safety, the TLC300 received the Toyota Safety Sense package with a blind spot monitoring system, a road sign reading system, a collision avoidance system, adaptive cruise control, a lane keeping assist system and a lane departure warning system. There is a 360-degree camera monitoring system and a transparent hood function. The Crawl Control and Multi-Terrain Select systems are offered as off-road driver assistance systems.
