A classic Lada Niva will take part in the legendary Dakar Rally 2022. A private racing team from Switzerland consisting of Mario Jakober and Sladan Miljic in a 1984 Niva will take part in a new category of the race – Dakar Classic. The team, called NIVA RED LEGEND Team, independently prepared the old Niva for participation in the rally, and the Lada brand will become the official partner of the team. Before the start of the race, the Swiss will visit the AvtoVAZ museum in Tolyatti to see the LADA Niva of the last century, which inspired the racers to participate in the Dakar Rally. The 44th stage of the Dakar Rally will be held in Saudi Arabia from January 2 to 14, 2022.
