Infiniti will bring the new QX55 crossover to Europe.

Premium brand Infiniti has unveiled the QX55 crossover coupe, which is set to fill the niche of the departed FX model. The new model is positioned as the successor to the iconic and very popular model.

However, only the car’s body can be considered new. Essentially, the Infiniti QX55 is a coupe-like version of the QX50 model, and the technical characteristics of the cars are virtually identical. The coupe version is 39 millimeters longer than the standard version, and the difference in wheelbase is only one millimeter. Thanks to the difference in chassis settings, the QX55 has become sportier. The model also received different bumpers, LED taillights, a new trunk lid, and a massive radiator grille.

Even in the basic configuration, the crossover coupe will receive 20-inch wheels. Infiniti sees the BMW X4 and Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe as competitors. The Infiniti QX55 has only one engine—a turbocharged 2.0-liter producing 272 horsepower and 380 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The cabin features two touchscreens. A Bose sound system and leather and wood trim are available as options. The car will be available in Russia with a detuned engine producing 249 horsepower. Sales dates and prices in Russia have not yet been announced.
