Geely unveiled the large seven-seat Okavango crossover.

The Chinese brand has unveiled the seven-seat Okavango crossover. This is the name under which the car will be sold globally. In China, the model is called the HaoYue.

The first country outside of China to receive the large Geely Okavango crossover will be the Philippines. The HaoYue model is in good demand in the Chinese market. Cars that will be supplied for export will be called Okavango and will feature some technical changes. So far, several teasers of the Okvango model have been released.

From the images, it can be concluded that, despite the external similarity, the cars have a number of differences. This is evident in the shape of the LED headlights. The car’s interior will have seven seats, making the Geely Okavango the brand’s largest model. As for engines, the crossover will feature a hybrid powertrain consisting of a 1.5-liter turbo engine and an electric motor for the rear axle.

The powertrain was developed jointly with Volvo engineers. The hybrid output is 150 horsepower. The new model received three-zone climate control, a panoramic roof, adaptive cruise control, a collision avoidance system, a lane keeping assist system, a blind spot monitoring system, and a digital instrument panel. The name for the crossover was chosen in honor of the river in southwest Africa.
