The coming 2022 will be generous in terms of premieres of new models in Russia. A whole scattering of cars from Chinese brands, several electric vehicles, as well as models of the mass and premium segments are expected on the Russian market.
Audi
Audi plans to introduce the Audi RS3 sedan and hatchback in Russia in the first quarter, and the compact charged RS Q3 crossover is expected by the beginning of summer. In the third quarter of 2022, Audi will bring the restyled premium sedan Audi A8 to Russia. The Audi R8 supercar and the Audi e-tron GT electric car, which is a sister car to the Porsche Taycan, are also set to return to the Russian market.
BMW
The Bavarian concern will bring to Russia the electric crossover BMW iX in the top version Xdrive 50 with a 523 horsepower engine. The second electric car from BMW will be the i4 model in the most powerful modification M50 with a 544 horsepower engine. Of the petrol versions, a new BMW 2-series is expected, including a charged M2.
Changan
The Chinese brand Changan will begin sales in Russia of the flagship Uni-K crossover, which was delayed due to the pandemic, as well as the updated CS35 and CS55 crossovers.
Chery
Chery is expected to release four new products in Russia – the updated Tiggo 4, the premium Exeed LX, the youth Omoda 5 and an electric car (the model has not yet been named).
Geely
The Chinese brand will begin sales of the updated Geely Atlas Pro in Russia, and a large Geely KX11 crossover, built jointly with Volvo engineers, is also expected.
Genesis
The premium brand Genesis will present only one new product in 2022. This is the flagship Genesis G90 sedan.
Haval
The most anticipated new product from Haval is the Big Dog crossover, which will be called Dargo in Russia.
Infiniti
The premium brand Infiniti will bring the seven-seat Infiniti QX60 crossover to Russia.
Jeep
The extended version of the Jeep Grand Cherokee L is expected in Russia in the second quarter of 2022.
Jaguar Land Rover
The large fifth-generation Range Rover crossover will delight true luxury lovers in 2022.
Lada
The most anticipated premiere of 2022 in the mass segment will be the restyled version of the Lada Vesta FL, which will receive LED optics, a vertical tablet of the multimedia system and a climate control unit from Renault.
Lexus
Lexus to start sales in Russia in 2022 the new generation of the NX crossover and the flagship LX.
Mazda
The Mazda CX-60 crossover will appear in Russia before the end of 2020. Perhaps, it will be more successful than the CX-30 model, which left the Russian market too quickly.
Mercedes-Benz
Mercedes-Benz is betting on electric vehicles and will bring two electric trains to Russia at once – EQS and EQE. Among gasoline cars, a new Mercedes-Benz SL convertible is expected in Russia.
Mitsubishi Outlander
The most popular Mitsubishi crossover in Russia has been updated and will arrive in Russia in 2022. The car will be assembled in Russia at a plant in Kaluga.
Nissan
The Japanese brand Nissan will bring to Russia a large crossover crossover Pathfinder, which is assembled for us in the USA.
Opel
The updated Opel Grandland crossover will definitely arrive in Russia in 2022, but the intrigue about the return of the Opel Astra still remains.
Renault
