A unique tuning project based on a ZIL-130 truck has been listed for sale in Moscow on the classifieds website Avito. The vehicle was built by Chechen enthusiasts using a Mercedes-Benz S-Class W220 chassis and exterior cabin components from a Soviet ZIL-130 truck.

Work on the project began in Chechnya in 2018, and over the course of two years, a unique ZIL-130 pickup truck with Mercedes-Benz S-Class components was built. The project was created by Chechen experts from the Care Crazy Car detailing center. The ZIL inherited the German vehicle’s 4.3-liter V8 gasoline engine producing 273 horsepower. The engine is paired with an eight-speed gearbox. The ZIL roof was lowered and the front fenders were narrowed so that the truck cabin could fit on the Mercedes-Benz platform.

The pickup truck’s cargo bed had to be made independently. The inside was trimmed with leather, and benches were placed along the sides. The cabin interior was re-upholstered in leather. The steering wheel was welded from real chain. The pickup also got a digital instrument panel from Mercedes-Benz.

An additional liquid crystal display was installed in the center of the cabin, which displays the functions of the multimedia system. The car has an electrically adjustable steering wheel, cruise control and disc brakes on all wheels. The wheel rims themselves are welded pieces made from stamped rims from an Opel car. The cost of the pickup is 2,250,000 rubles.
