Avatr is preparing the first hybrid for Russia: what will the 502-horsepower crossover surprise you with
Changan’s premium brand Avatr has certified the new crossover Avatr 07 in Russia and received Vehicle Type Approval (VTA) for it. This was the final stage of preparing the model for the start of sales: it will be the first hybrid of the brand on the market, the company’s press service reported.
Avatr 07 is certified in Russia as a serial hybrid (REEV). Its powertrain includes a CATL traction battery with a capacity of 39.05 kW h and a 1.5-liter internal combustion engine operating as a generator.
The rear-wheel drive version of the model is equipped with an electric motor with a maximum output of 314 hp. The claimed purely electric range is up to 207 kilometers according to the NEDC cycle, and the total possible distance without refueling and recharging reaches 932 kilometers.
The all-wheel drive modification of Avatr 07 received two electric motors with a total power of 502 hp. On electric traction, such a crossover is capable of covering up to 197 kilometers, while the total power reserve is declared at the level of 900 kilometers.
As a reminder, at the beginning of August, the Avatr brand expanded the range of trim levels of the Avatr 11 electric crossover in Russia with 2026 versions. At the same time, the only rear-wheel drive version disappeared from its price list, and the minimum price of the model increased by 760 thousand rubles.
