With the model update, the names of the trim levels have changed, but their number has remained the same. Now the lowest trim level is called “Comfort”, it is offered only with a manual transmission and front-wheel drive. Next come “Optimum” and “Premium”, which suggest a seven-speed robotic gearbox, as well as front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The highest trim level “Techno+” is offered exclusively with all-wheel drive and a robotic gearbox.

New engine

The updated Haval Jolion in the all-wheel drive version received a new 1.5-liter turbocharged engine, which is now produced at Haval’s own plant in the Tula region. Its power has not changed and is 150 hp. (110 kW), but the maximum torque has been increased from 230 Nm to 270 Nm and is achieved already at 1500 rpm.

Acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h has been reduced from 9.8 to 9.1 seconds thanks to the new turbo engine, and the maximum speed has increased to 190 km/h. The new engine complies with the Euro 6 emission standard, resulting in reduced fuel consumption in the combined cycle of 7.6 l/100 km.

The front-wheel drive Jolion, as before, is equipped with a 1.5-liter in-line turbocharged four-cylinder. Its main characteristics have not changed: the power is 143 hp. (105 kW), and the maximum torque reaches 210 Nm at 2000 – 4400 rpm.

The updated crossover is offered with two types of transmissions: a seven-speed robotic gearbox 7DCT with a wet dual clutch or a six-speed manual. Their design uses technologies that reduce torque losses when shifting gears to 2%, and the maximum torque that can be transmitted by a robotic gearbox is 300 Nm.

Changes in the interior

While the exterior design of the car has not undergone any changes, the interior has been comprehensively redesigned, due to which the level of comfort has increased and ergonomics have been improved.

Steering The wheel now has a thicker rim, while the button layout remains the same. The control unit on the center console below the display has been redesigned: the analog buttons have been repositioned, and a rotary volume control and audio system mute knob has been added.

In addition, the interior ambient lighting has been optimized for a more comfortable experience. The tunnel between the front seats has also been redesigned: the rotary transmission mode selector has been replaced with a classic vertical electronic joystick, and the dual cupholders have become multifunctional and can now be used both for their intended purpose and for storing small items. The wireless charging power of the smartphone has increased to 50 W.

Other updates: the presence of additional multi-format charging ports. In addition to the previous USB (Universal Serial Bus) Type A ports, a more modern, compact USB Type C port has been added – one in the front of the cabin and two in the rear.
