Pre-orders for a unique domestic car that is resistant to frost and chemicals are now open in Russia. How much does the Atom cost?
Russians can now reserve the new domestic electric car, the Atom, for 500,000 rubles. As the Wroom portal specifies, this amount will be applied to the cost of the car, which fully corresponds to the previously stated price of 3,900,000 rubles.

When purchasing on credit or leasing, buyers can count on a subsidy under the state program in the amount of 925 thousand rubles, which will reduce the final cost of the electric car to 2,975,000 rubles. Cars from the first batch of 1 thousand units will be distinguished by an exclusive “Atom 1000” badge on the rear body pillar, but the delivery dates have not yet been specified.

Aleksandr Kostylev, Commercial Director of the Kama company developing the Atom, said that the official start of sales of the new Russian electric car is planned for April of this year. However, individuals will only be able to buy it online, with home delivery. Test drives before purchase will be available at the company’s partners in major Russian cities.
In addition, a dedicated service center will open well in advance of the Atom sales launch. It will be used to practice servicing technologies through repeated disassembly and assembly of electric vehicles, with the subsequent preparation of service partner technicians for the start of sales.
The main role in servicing the Atom will be played by service partners with the necessary competencies in working with electric vehicles. By the launch of sales, they are expected to open in more than 10 Russian cities, including Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Kaliningrad, Yaroslavl, Nizhny Novgorod, Sochi, Krasnodar, Yekaterinburg, Naberezhnye Chelny, and Rostov-on-Don. By 2029, their geographic presence will expand to 48 Russian cities.

The interior of the Atom has a digital steering wheel in the form of a steering wheel with an integrated touch display (while driving it will go into safe mode and dim) and a projection display on the windshield. Equipment includes ambient lighting, eco-friendly trim, heated and power seats, wireless smartphone charging, Type-C ports, and NFC access.
Owners will also have access to a voice assistant. It will allow voice control of the climate control, door and window adjustments, and adjustments to the steering wheel, mirrors, seats, and lighting. Thanks to the support of neural networks, it will not only be able to help along the way, but also take into account the owner’s personal preferences – for example, suggesting interesting places along the route: cozy cafes with excellent reviews, attractions, and other curious locations.

It was previously reported that special attention during the development of the electric car was paid to its adaptation to Russian urban operating conditions, which imply, among other things, sudden changes in climate and the effect of aggressive anti-icing reagents on the body. High reliability and durability of its body were confirmed during successful tests at the Test Center of FSUE “NAMI” (NITSIAMT) in Dmitrov.
