The iPhone 18 Pro Max is rumored to feature a larger battery, which will help it maintain its leading position in battery life. This was reported by MacRumors, citing Chinese insider Digital Chat Station (DCS). According to the source, the battery capacity could range from 5,100 to 5,200 mAh.
An additional boost in battery life is expected thanks to the new A20 Pro processor, which will be manufactured using TSMC’s 2nm process technology and will provide greater energy efficiency. At the same time, for the sake of a larger battery, the smartphone body may become slightly thicker compared to the previous model.
For comparison, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is equipped with a 5088 mAh battery and can work up to 39 hours without recharging. Taking into account the increased capacity and optimized power consumption, the iPhone 18 Pro Max can exceed the 40-hour mark of battery life – MacRumors has already called this figure “incredibly long.”
The presentation of the iPhone 18 Pro Max is expected to take place in the fall of 2026, simultaneously with the iPhone 18 Pro and the foldable iPhone Fold.
