The Czech brand Skoda, which is part of the Volkswagen Group, will develop a new generation of the Volkswagen Passat business sedan. The new model will be designated B9 and will be larger than its predecessor. The next-generation Volkswagen Passat will be built on the modular MQB platform. The new generation Volkswagen Passat will be as similar as possible to the Czech flagship Skoda Superb. It is also possible that the new generation Volkswagen Passat will no longer be a sedan and will become a liftback. The car will have an extended wheelbase and a more spacious interior. As for power units, in addition to gasoline and diesel engines, there will also be hybrid versions.
