At the end of December 2025, Russia saw a surge in consumer interest in auto repair services. According to information provided by the international auto repair chain Fit Service, the total number of service station visits nationwide in the last two weeks of the month increased by 6% compared to the same period last year. In the Moscow region, this figure rose to 13%, according to Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
Company representatives explained that the observed surge in demand for auto repair services at the end of December is due to a number of factors. Traditionally, vehicle owners are preparing for holiday trips and want to ensure their cars are in good working order, as well as fearing extended downtime at auto repair shops. However, at the end of 2025, drivers received another incentive to visit service stations: the opportunity to receive maintenance and repairs at more favorable prices.
“It is expected that in 2026, the increase in service costs will be noticeable in many areas, so car owners are trying to save money in advance and get all the necessary car maintenance work done,” explained Dmitry Samoilov, Head of Partner Support at Fit Service.
According to company data, the average cost of car repairs and maintenance in the last weeks of December 2025 was 13.7 thousand rubles, which is 8% higher than the previous year’s level. It is emphasized that the greatest expenses on the car occurred in the last days before the New Year holidays.
