Belarusian enthusiasts have built a unique SUV. Numerous parts from Soviet vehicles were used in its construction. The pickup is based on the GAZ-66, and the cabin was borrowed from the ZIL-131.
According to abw.by, the Belarusian DIY enthusiasts took the GAZ-66 chassis and installed a homemade body welded together from the cabin of a ZIL-131, a Ford Transit minibus, and a SsangYong Actyon Sports pickup. The pickup’s enormous tires were borrowed from a farm tractor. Custom wheels were created specifically for the tractor tires. The exhaust system, bumpers, lighting, and interior also had to be handcrafted. The creators named their creation the ZIL “Pickup” or Ranger 4×4. A 4.7-liter turbodiesel engine from the Bychok was installed under the hood of the huge pickup. The cost of the project to its creators was 900,000 rubles.
