Volkswagen presented the compact Taos crossover in the USA, which is smaller in size than the Tiguan model. The new model will also appear on the Russian market. In Russia, the new model from Volkswagen will be able to compete with the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
So far, the new model has been presented for the American market, but the Volkswagen press service states that the new model will also appear at the brand’s Russian dealers. Volkswagen Taos is positioned one step below the Tiguan crossover. The new model has an expressive design, a comfortable interior and a number of modern systems.

Taos has a relief hood and LED headlights in the style of the ID.4 electric car. LED headlights will be available in the basic configuration. Also standard is a rain sensor and a push-button start. Options include the KESSY keyless entry system, dual-zone climate control, a rain sensor, a heated steering wheel, and seats. The heated seats are also available for rear passengers.

The Taos’s extensive equipment includes a distance control system with automatic braking, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and emergency stop assist. Optional high beams, adaptive lighting, and parking assistance are also available. According to Volkswagen’s Russian press office, the new Taos crossover will fit seamlessly into the brand’s current model lineup and will be no less popular than the Tiguan crossover. Prices, configurations and sales start date will be announced later.
