General Motors has officially unveiled the all-electric Hummer Edition 1 pickup truck. The new model is the first electric Hummer to feature the new Ultium battery technology.
According to General Motors’ press service, the new Hummer EV will be powered by Ultium batteries. The pickup truck’s three electric motors produce a combined output of 1,000 horsepower and a torque of 11,500 Nm. The company also boasts a unique e4WD all-wheel drive system, which provides improved maneuverability.

A unique feature of the all-wheel drive system is that it allows all four wheels to be controlled. The CrabWalk system allows the rear and front wheels to be turned at a specific angle, allowing the electric Hummer to move diagonally, providing additional maneuverability off-road. The new Hummer has an adaptive air suspension that allows you to increase the ground clearance by 149 millimeters.

The SUV is equipped with Goodyear Wrangler All Territory MT tires with a diameter of 35 inches as standard. It is also possible to install 37-inch tires. The car is capable of overcoming vertical obstacles up to 45 centimeters high and moving through water more than 60 centimeters deep. Another innovative feature is the Ultravision camera system.

It includes front, rear cameras, as well as cameras on the underbody of the SUV. The cameras are reliably protected from damage and are equipped with washers to maintain constant image clarity. The battery life is enough for 550 kilometers of travel. The Super Cruise function allows the car to travel autonomously on an area of approximately 322,000 kilometers of roads that are stored in the car’s memory. The car can independently change lanes, change from one lane to another, and even overtake other cars. The electric Hummer accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3 seconds.
The pickup truck’s interior uses premium trim materials. The multimedia system screen diagonal is 13.4 inches. Information about the vehicle’s performance is transmitted to the digital instrument panel with a 12.3-inch screen diagonal. Production of the all-electric Hummer EV pickup truck will begin in late 2021 at GM’s Factory Zero in Detroit-Hamtramck. The 40-year-old plant has been repurposed for electric vehicle production.
