The Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant has once again attracted the attention of the automotive community by presenting a new development – a school bus. The officially approved model is based on the Profi chassis. However, some experts note that a number of features of the new product may cause a mixed reaction.
UAZ continues to expand its range of specialized vehicles. The new UAZ-128801 school bus, built on the platform of the popular Profi, has received all the necessary certificates, which gives it access to the market. Production of the minibus is carried out in partnership with the Ulyanovsk company Avtodom.
The bus body is made using frame-panel technology, providing increased strength and safety. The bus is designed exclusively for transporting children aged 6 to 16 years, and its use for commercial purposes is prohibited by design and documentation.
The passenger compartment offers four configuration options with a capacity of 11 to 14 seats. One seat is reserved for the accompanying adult, the second for the driver, emphasizing the attention to safety and supervision of children during the trip.
The technical design of the bus does not allow for alternatives: only all-wheel drive and a ZMZ-409 engine are provided. This solution ensures reliable movement on any type of road, including country and suburban routes.
