An access road connecting the Kolyadichi industrial hub and the Moscow Ring Road-2 (MKAD-2) is planned to be built near Minsk by the end of 2026. This was announced during a meeting of the Minsk City Executive Committee, BELTA reports.
Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Vladimir Kukharev noted that the city faces the task of reducing the load on the MKAD, and the movement of heavy vehicles poses a serious obstacle to achieving this goal. According to him, heavy trucks can already avoid using the ring road in almost all cases, but issues arise in the area of the Kolyadichi industrial hub. “Therefore, a decision was made to build a bypass road from Kolyadichi so that heavy trucks could travel directly to MKAD-2,” said Vladimir Kukharev.
According to UKS Zapad director Aleksey Shcherbach, the project includes a 5.5 km long two-lane road with a sidewalk for access to the railway stations for residents of the Gatovo agro-town from the Kolyadichi industrial hub. “It will come out from Babushkina Street, run along the railroad and come out in the agro-town of Gatovo onto the N9034 road,” — he shared.
Construction is expected to begin in January 2026, and the road is promised to be in operation by the end of next year.
