Development of the iPhone 18 Air has begun: the first details about the smartphone have leaked online.

Fresh leaks have revealed the first details about the future iPhone 18 Air. It seems that Apple is not planning any radical changes; instead, the company will focus on improving proven solutions. The new iPhone promises to be the thinnest in the line, while maintaining a recognizable design with a lightweight body and narrow bezels.

According to insiders, the smartphone will receive a 6.5-inch screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. This will allow the iPhone 18 Air to approach the Pro models in terms of interface smoothness, while remaining more affordable and lightweight. Face ID will remain — Apple will not abandon the features that have long become its signature feature.

The main innovation is a dual camera with two 48-megapixel sensors: the main one and an ultra-wide-angle one. A module with a telephoto lens is not yet expected, which may be a little disappointing. But Apple compensates for this with powerful image processing—the company traditionally relies on software algorithms, not just hardware.

The “Air” concept is once again taking center stage: maximum lightness and a minimum of unnecessary details. This approach has already made the MacBook Air one of the company’s most recognizable devices. Now it looks like it’s the iPhone’s turn. If Apple maintains a reasonable price, the iPhone 18 Air could become the biggest hit of 2026—not thanks to flashy innovations, but thanks to its elegance and meticulous attention to detail. Sometimes it is the quietest steps that are the most powerful.
