Visually, the “second” Evolute i-Joy is radically different from its predecessor. Its expressive design with a clear beltline and sloping roof creates an impressive crossover silhouette. The front and rear of the car are defined by characteristic sharp edges and all-LED optics.

The exterior color palette, which includes five trendy shades, emphasizes the urban proportions and clean lines of the crossover. Bumpers and practical trims made of black plastic reliably protect body parts and wheel arches from damage in tight streets and heavy traffic.

The Quantum S3 platform, on which the new i-Joy is built, was developed for equipping with an electric powertrain and is designed for the most efficient use of interior space. With external dimensions comparable to those of its competitors – length 4306 mm, width 1868 mm and height 1645 mm – the new i-Joy, thanks to its long wheelbase of 2715 mm, has a more spacious interior and well-thought-out storage systems.

The “second” Evolute i-Joy, like its predecessor, is driven by a 163-horsepower electric motor with permanent magnets, which produces up to 290 Nm of torque and allows acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 8 seconds. A low center of gravity and energy-intensive suspension, specially designed for a heavy battery, provide excellent stability during sharp maneuvers and high-speed cornering.

Time The 51.87 kWh traction battery can be quickly charged from 30 to 80% in just 18 minutes. The range on a full charge is up to 471 km (measured using the CLTC cycle).

The interior of the second-generation Evolute i-Joy is embodied in the aesthetics of functional minimalism. Its dominant feature is the 12.8-inch touchscreen display of the multimedia system, which serves as an information and control center, and also supports smartphone connectivity via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto protocols. The interior also features a 50W wireless smartphone charger, two Type-C ports, and two 12V power sources.

The interior trim uses environmentally friendly, pleasant to the touch materials, and the folded seats form a completely flat floor that can be used both as a bed and as a trunk. The absence of a transmission tunnel, ease of transformation and assembly increases the convenience of the loading and unloading process, and also provides better protection of things during transportation.

An additional niche under the false floor of the trunk guarantees a useful volume in excess of the “passport” 500 liters, and the special design of the trunk lid, equipped with an electric drive, expands the variability and functionality of the folding side, including during outdoor recreation.

Production of the second-generation Evolute i-Joy electric crossover and other Evolute models is localized at the Motorinvest plant in the Lipetsk region. Prices will be announced later, possibly along with the start of sales. The first generation model costs from 2,775,000 rubles, and taking into account the state subsidy, the price tag drops to 1,850,000 rubles.

By the way, a month ago the Evolute brand began sales of the updated hybrid crossover i-Space. The car has changed externally, improved technically, and is now available not only in a seven-seater, but also in a five-seater version with an extended package of “winter” options, including heated steering wheel, seats of the first two rows and windshield washer nozzles.
