To recap, the Moskvich plant released a limited edition of several hundred Moskvich 5 crossovers in different colors (red, gray, white, and black) and sent them for testing in the spring. Based on the results of the latter, a decision will be made on whether or not to launch the model into production.

As Maxim Kadakov, editor-in-chief of the Za Rulem magazine, reported in April, all Moskvich 5s from the limited edition are equipped with 1.5-liter turbo engines with a capacity of 136 or 174 hp. s., which are aggregated with a variator and only front-wheel drive.

Before this, “live” photos of the new mid-size crossover “Moskvich 5” in gray appeared on the Platesmania portal, which has already been registered and has state registration plates with the Moscow region.

As for the seven-seater flagship crossover “Moskvich 8”, then, unlike model No. 5, on the website The company has been “hanging” in the models section for several months, but no information other than the fact that it is a “practical seven-seater crossover” has appeared yet.

The start of sales of the “Moskvich 8” model at Moskvich dealers is expected this week. The press service of the Moscow Automobile Plant did not specify the date, but confirmed that it will indeed take place in the near future.
