In the Pervomaisky District of Minsk, traffic police inspectors stopped a Renault. 2.56 ppm of alcohol were found in the driver’s exhaled air, and there were bottles of alcohol in his car. For an average man weighing 80 kilograms, this dose is approximately equivalent to one bottle of vodka. This and other recent cases in Minsk, when drivers were found behind the wheel while intoxicated, were reported by the Traffic Police of the Main Directorate of Internal Affairs of the Minsk City Executive Committee.
A woman was detained in the same district: she caused an accident near house No. 25 on Filimonova Street. An examination showed 1.64 ppm of alcohol in her system. As a result of the accident, no one was injured.
In the Zavodskoy district, at the intersection of Partizansky Prospekt and Selitskogo Street, inspectors stopped a Volkswagen truck. During the inspection, it was found that the driver had 2.00 ppm of alcohol in his body.
Also in the Partizansky district, on Radialnaya Street, a 39-year-old Kia driver was stopped. The examination showed that the man was driving a car while intoxicated.
The State Traffic Safety Inspectorate reminded: this is strictly prohibited and is a potentially dangerous violation of traffic rules, for which both administrative and criminal liability is provided.
